
对头发护理的转变
我一生中大部分时间都是在户外度过的——无论是游泳、远足、运动还是与孩子们在一起,我一直都明白需要保护我的皮肤不受外界影响。然而,直到最近,我还没有考虑到为我的头发做同样的事情。阳光和盐水对我的头发造成了什么影响?不仅如此,高压力的工作和日常造型对我的头发有什么影响?然后是怀孕,以及在怀孕期间和之后,我们的头发与我们身体的其他部分一起发生的所有变化,这一点母亲们都很清楚。直到几年前,我才意识到我们的头发和头皮应该像我们身体(和思想)的其他部分一样得到关注和照顾。

It was a lightbulb moment when I realized I wasn’t giving the same level of care to my hair as I was the rest of me. Through my own process of educating myself, I now realize just how important a variety of elements are to the whole hair ecosystem. Today, it’s clear to me that hair wellness is about everything: the exterior and the interior. If you’re not caring for your body, mind and scalp, you’ll see an impact on your hair’s health.
I’ve always sought out brands and products that have good human beings behind them. When I have a choice, I want to use that choice to make more informed decisions both for myself and for the world around me. If I’m going to be a part of a brand or an organization, it’s going to be one that’s putting good into the world.
